About Me.
My life in its entirety has surrounded writing and storytelling. Growing up I created countless characters and wrote so many stories that they became hard to keep up with. In high school I found a place on the yearbook staff as a copywriter and a photographer. There, I dipped my toes in the waters of journalism for the first time and enjoyed learning about the basic principles of reporting, writing, interviewing, newsgathering, editing, and photography. Later on, I took on a job at our local airport as the weekend manager. It was there that I met many different people from all over the United States and some from overseas.

As I would talk to them about what brought them here, I realized that a journalistic fire was being stoked within me once again. From that point on I decided to pursue journalism once I graduated high school. I was taking college courses at that time through dual enrollment, as well, and chose to focus more on my grades than my job at the airport.

By the time I had graduated high school I was already a sophomore in college preparing to enroll at Troy University to pursue a bachelor's degree in multimedia journalism. After I had moved to Troy in the fall of 2023 to begin my college education, I chose to join The Tropolitan's team of writers. Since then, I have become a staff writer on scholarship writing a story a week for the Trojan Living section. I discovered my love for music and combined it with journalism during my first year of writing for the publication. I poured hours of my time reading over and studying publications likes Pitchfork and Pigeons and Planes. I now currently write loosely on a music beat for The Tropolitan, covering Troy University's various musical events, musical ensembles and bands, and write analyses and reviews of musical projects. The experience I have gained from them allowed my skills to be acknowledged by Vinyl Digital, who want me to begin a blog for them and their artists. To this day, music drives me in every sense of the word, and I even drive to music, visiting stores like Village Green Records and Hear Again Records.
